Pray to the Moon when She is round,
Luck with you will then abound,
What you seek for shall be found
On the sea or solid ground.

Unfolding Moon: Black & White Magic.

Moon Magic.
Moon Magic.

Remember.

Remember waiting for Moonrise in the East parking lot of the stadium megachurch. Strange juxtapositions. She takes Her sweet time & we listen to a radio discussion about Scientology. Such strange juxtapositions. When She peeks over the mountain's hard edge, we sing. Four humans steaming up a station wagon in freezing temperatures, all for the Love of the Moon...

Remember planning & sketching & baking. Always baking. Remember that piping icing is not Moma's forte... Moonsickness is heart beating so strong there is no steady hand for painting slick, glistening, sugar sigils. For the Moon this night? Black Magic Cake layered with Hubby's homemade four berry preserves all wrapped up in a blanket of white chocolate ganache. Give the Lady some of our own Strawberry Liqueur & we have offered a most worthy, head-spinning sweetness. It tastes like Love.

Remember lying on the bed late in the evening. There, under the window my baby Changeling & I watch the Moon & Her tricks of Light & Dark. He points tiny fingers & says, "Moon? Moon!" She casts Her image through the glass & it is captured there. Her body shines so brightly that Her reflection is clearer than Her actual being. How fitting, really, for such an enigmatic, luminous creature. Wandering the crazy lines of contrast, She inspires us to do the same.

Slices of Black Magic.
Slices of Black Magic.

Hubs bearing cake = a keeper. But always carry a toothbrush. ;)
When you see Her, say hello for me too. Since the Esbat, snow, snow, snow.
