First Fungus 2012
This is the first mushroom to appear in our yard this spring:
A High desert LBM. Never very flashy or grand.
It has been around for several days now. I am not certain that I particularly like it, nor do we have much to say to one another, but I still check on it every day.
These crinkly brown mini-ogres (an apt description!) are the most common here in this desert. Too bad for me! They lack the pizzaz of the Alaskan shrooms... poor homely things... but you're right, there cute in their own LBM sort of way. ;)

Haha! It is a rather cute mushroom, in a ogre-ish way.
