Pray to the Moon when She is round,
Luck with you will then abound,
What you seek for shall be found
On the sea or solid ground.

When the December Moon is bright...

Thirty six hours after the Esbat, my poetry wishes came to fruition: the snow fell in abundance & "the wild creatures ranged, while the moon rose and shone."

Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus) tracks in the fresh snow.

How much can come, how much can go
When the December moon is bright,
What worlds of play we'll never know
Sleeping away the cold white night
After a fall of snow.
-- May Sarton

Life. Isn't it all so very grand?
