Ancient spirits.
In silence, they tend the desert.
Trust in them to know what is best.
Those lichens, what a lesson in partnership & cooperation. Only with teamwork do they survive in an environment in which either partner alone would expire. Only with teamwork do they watch the centuries roll by while the rest of us perish again & again. Only with teamwork to they transmogrify our planet... one grain at a time.
May we puerile humans take lessons from them about togetherness.
